Mushroom Moments

One thing about me is I love to learn,
I'm always looking for the lessons in life,
Always searching for the connections and creating meanings.
I'm kinda crazy that way. haha

Thing is, the story behind these Mushrooms completely stumped me!

I was searching for the meaning online..
What do they mean?
What is their symbolism?
How can I relate this to my life?

What I found...
There is a magical essence to them that gives life to a world of fairies, sprites and all things whimsical.  They also symbolize the cycle of life, the feminine spirit, and fertility.

While this could relate to me on some level, it just wasn't clicking.. there was something more to be learned that I couldn't quite see.

It wasn't until I saved these photos to my computer and opened them with new eyes that I could understand.  What I love most about this experience is that I've stopped to find my own inner wisdom by asking myself..

What did this mean to me when I took it, how did I feel?
What can I learn from the actual situation that was right in front of me?

Someone I love deeply claimed.. "Sometimes what we're searching for is right in front of us!"
Go figure!
Who woulda thought! lol

Well that someone was the one who encouraged the child spirit in me to shine through. To capture the moment, and in doing so love was shared between us as he could appreciate all of who I am. Not to mention, it was a push and a step forward in trusting my intuition, and taking Action in the Moment.

For that mushroom moment, I am thankful

However small it may seem..
it means the world to me NOW.

PS~ Sorry for the grammar mistakes.. I'm not perfect. :p

A Launching Point

Let's be honest, it's been some time since I've posted on this page... in part I've focused my business energy on my facebook page (which I encourage you to visit and "like") and in part a whole lotta other "stuff" and reasons why.. blah .. blah .. blah

So lets be Frank..
This. IS. ME.. (but I'm Tracy ;)
Stepping up and out of my comfort zone

Yeah I'm a dork at times. haha

I'm ready to show up in the world in a new way, in the way I've always wanted to be, and through my mentors, and supportive friends & family I've found the courage to do so.  I am eternally grateful to ALL of you. xo

There have been so many times when my negative self chatter would stop me from taking action in the direction of how I am  meant to serve others.  It wasn't until I pushed through many of my internal blocks that I am now able to put myself out into the world in a more confident and empowering way. (Yikes!!)

Even now I struggle with not wanting to put this "out there".. and so I know it must be done.

So as a new launching point I would like to share a small story with you...

A CHILDS WONDER
Through the eyes of my three year old son our world appears to be very, very different.
A mere hill is considered a MOUNTAIN &,
A group of bushes = a FoReSt

This perspective made me stop to think...
I used to make MOUNTAINS out of mole hills in the sense of daily life stresses, living in the busyness of the "Alberta dream" (making oober amounts of $$ and working my a$$ off)

Yet from my son's view.. from way.. down.. there...
A sense of Accomplishment could emerge &
An excitement of exploring new places

I absolutely delight in the way my son constantly shows me how life is really meant to be lived.

So I ask you.. Where in your 9 to 5 life can you find the sense of wonder and whimsical energy?
For me I find it in the connections, more on that to come... ;)

With Love,
~Tracy

My wish for you is to see the simple gift of joy today brings.

The Jensen Family

The fall is a special time of year when the beauty of the world changes shape and color. A time of transformation and for us to see things in a different light.

Luckily children have a way of finding the wonders in the simplest of things, and in turn restoring the joy in all our hearts.

Gray and Kennedy where so mesmerized by the leaves,  it was so much fun to follow their spirits and to explore Johnston Island.
Thank you Jensen family

Amber & Rolland ~ Engagement Session

This was a wonderful engagement session with Amber and Rolland.  The energy of these two was simply amazing and beautiful.  You know when you can feel how much someone is loved, that was definitely what was pulsing through the air between these two.  We had a lot of fun in and around my home town, Cheadle.

The contrast of Amber's country girl background to Rolland's city lifestyle was apparent at the root of who they are . . and their shoes. ;)  Though they so playfully accept each others roots, for their pasts make up who they are today. . and that's with each other.

We had a good laugh at Rolland's sense of adventure, we ventured out into a farmers crop were he jumped into a pile of cut canola.  Love the expressions! :D

Amber was so eagerly awaiting the day Rolland proposed to her.  Apparently she is very hard to surprise so Rolland had to do it when she wouldn't suspect.  Haha I think he accomplished that with randomly proposing at home during a regular everyday occurrence.

Sometimes we expect grand gestures while it's the ones from the heart, the everyday moments that steal our hearts away. A these times our lives become richer because we can see the beauty in the mundane.

Jackson~ The newest addition to the J Team

My good friends Jesse & Jacki are so pleased to have a boy join their family.  Their friends so cleverly nicknamed these two the J Team after Jeslyn came along.  Since then they kept with the theme and named their second daughter Jillian. Though with this little guy it was tough for these two to decide on a name, and what they chose is simply perfect, Jackson Rae.

This little guy looks so much like his daddy and oldest sister.  These girls are going to show him the ropes and my guess is that he'll soon fit in to be mommy's little boy and daddy's little football pro, I can see it now. . .

For now, at 7 days old, we watch as Jackson dreams of the world he knows through sound.  To think of the miraculous transformation that occurs during pregnancy and what this little being goes through, and yet being so peaceful now, is simply amazing.

To be so calm, and deeply sensing the love around him. Jackson was content, relaxed, and at peace.  We can learn so much from babies that we tend to forget with the busyness of our lives.

This is why I love photographing babies, it slows me down to take things in and enjoy the beauty of every moment, every noise, every move, and cute little faces.  Jackson sure likes sticking his tongue out! LOL

What a beautiful gift the J Team has been blessed with, I wish you all the best in your many years as a beautiful family. xoxo

And then there were four. . .

I'm not sure why but when I titled this post, I thought of the song. . There were four in the bed and the little one said, roll over, roll over,. . well no one fell out of bed but there's something so sweet about the song that touches my heart.  Maybe it connects to a childhood memory of reading fun books and singing songs with my parents while in bed. Just as these pictures so easily depict.

I've never had a photo shoot quite like this before.  My friend Laura and her little family recently expanded and she really wanted some new family photos so I was thrilled to step up for the job.  My heart will skip at any chance to photograph a baby and beautiful family, Thank you Laura. :)

I love this. . a mother, daughter bond can never be broken nor anything come between.  This photo is such a beautiful example of the gentle wrapping of a mothers love.

Sweet Avery will have to learn to share the spot light.  She's already such a little star and just loves the camera.  I think her mom might have to do with it considering she is a photographer friend. ;-) Hee Hee

A wonderfully proud father.  As if to say "YES, it's a boy!"  Note the early hockey encouragement. haha
